Follow Up Posts

In sales, it is rare to secure a deal on the first contact with people. Most sales are made during the second contact clients.

If you are advertising on Facebook, you can make use of Custom Audience (for details, click here) to re-target people who had reacted to a previous post/advertisement.

We recommend using Facebook Page as the source when creating Custom Audience, as it allows you to target the people who actively responded to your advertisements. For page/advertisement interaction, a step by step process can be found here.

Setting Their Expectation

Follow up advertisements works best when you have prompted the audience that you will reach out to them with more information at a later date if they were to take a particular action at your post.

Example of things to say in your advertisement post are:

  • LIKE this POST if you'll like to receive more information.

  • LIKE our PAGE to keep track of our latest offers!

  • LIKE our PAGE to keep track of our latest events!

Examples of Follow Up Advertisements

It's important to stay creative when you are following up posts. Here are some creative ideas that you can do differently when you are following up on a post.

Refer back to the previous post

A good place to start in a follow up advertisement is to refer back to your previous advertisement. Examples of things to say include:

  • Hey, thanks for your LIKES! As promised, here's the latest happenings! Click on LEARN MORE. (Follow up for: "LIKE this POST if you'll like to receive more information.")

  • Thanks for liking our page. We present: This month's offer! Click on GET OFFER. (Follow up for: "LIKE our PAGE to keep track of our latest offers!")

  • Thanks for liking our page. We present: This month's events! Click on LEARN MORE. (Follow up for: "LIKE our PAGE to keep track of our latest events!")
